Wow can’t believe it is August already – the summer is going so fast – seems like I keep running out of time to to sit down and take some time to myself to read or write. I have been working on another blog post since the beginning of July and can’t seem to find the time to finish it. So I figured I’d just write a few thoughts down quickly.
So far our summer has been spent at the lake with our lovely new grand daughter – she is officially 4 months. Again wow where has this time gone. Seeing her milestones has been a blessing. We are so happy to be able to spend this precious time with her for an entire weekend.
Our border collie has been amazing with her so far – he’s intrigued when she gets here for a little bit and then couldn’t care less the rest of the time, when she cries he tries to tell us and then leaves quickly. If he gets a few licks of her feet or smells her, he’s happy.
I find August feels like the unofficial ending of the summer – days are getting shorter and weather is starting to cool off. I’m taking the last week of August off to spend time at the lake with a few girlfriends and then hopefully a few days to myself to recharge before September starts.
