An Evening of Bvlgari Elegance –

When you enter a contest, your first thought is hopefully you win,  because this is the normal way to think.  You can’t always win but when you do the  feeling is overwhelming.   This is exactly what happened to me, a few weeks ago after I entered my name to win a seat @davelackie Bvlgari Fragrance VIP twitter dinner.  When the names were announced I was so thrilled and grateful  that I would be a part of this elegant new fragrance launch,  Bvlgari Goldea – The Roman Night Absolute for women and Bvlgari Man Wood Essence for men.

When I arrived at the Acadian Court’s  8th floor, the view/ room decor was breathtaking.  This was my first time at the Acadian Court and I was not disappointed.  I was greeted  by the most beautiful room I had ever seen with greenery everywhere from the tables to the ceiling.  Above the dinner table was a hanging garden with hanging tea lights.  As the sun was still coming in through the windows it was hard to see the lit tea lights, I was excited for the sun to set so I could see how magical the tea lights would look.  Each place setting had a beautiful gold/black tassel.  The table was adorned with bowls of blue plums, succulents, orchids, and moss.  As the sun set, with a view of the city the tea lights looked amazing.  The room was filled with such breathtaking displays.

After a brief introduction by our fabulous host Dave, the evening festivities began and dinner was served.  Starting with Boston Bibb & Strawberry Salad,  followed by the main course Tyme & Garlic Seared Chicken Breast finishing with Madagascar Vanilla Bean Frangipane Tartlet for dessert, a work of art with the Bvlgari name in cocoa.  Such a delicious dinner, catered by Oliver & Bonacini restaurants.

Now it was time for us to hear about this iconic brand.  Bvlgari is an Italian prestigious brand  that was founded in 1884 by a Greek by the name of Sotirios Voulgaris, who started with a single jewellery shop and grew his business into a luxury brand that is available world-wide.  The flagship store (which is the original location) is located on Via Dei Condotti , at the base of the  Spanish Steps, the original name of the store was Old Curiosity Shop so named to attract  American and British tourist, which it did.  Before long he was making jewellery and accessories.  Many famous women were fans of the brand including Elizabeth Taylor, Audrey Hepburn, Ingrid Bergman, and Madonna to name a few.  Bvlgari launched its first fragrance in 1992 – Eau Parfumee au the Vert which was a unisex scent.

Goldea The Roman Night Absolute:

Created by master perfumer Alberto Morillas this modern, elegant, night time fragrance evokes luxury and seductiveness.   A contemporary bottle design in a black lacquered light translucent bottle …oh la la 😍   Classified as a  floral musk fragrance – with  black crystal musk (which is exclusive to Bvlgari for 5 years), mulberry,  jasmine,  madagascar vanilla, black peony,  plum blended with orange blossom and a touch of patchouli.   A very sexy and sensual  fragrance for the upcoming fall season with a lot of warmth.

Bvlgari Man Wood Essence:

This new masculine scent also created by master perfumer Alberto Morillas combines wood notes, with Italian citrus fruit zest and essence of coriander, Haitian Vetiver essence and a blend of cedar wood to produce  a fresh and woodsy  scent.  These notes resonate with both men and women, adding a bit of warmth to the fragrance.

A huge thank you to Dave for including me in this amazing event.  Combining learning with beauty lovers = a fantastic night out 💃🏻💃🏻  It was so great to see/catch up with so many twitter friends and to meet new ones.  So much beauty love in one  room.   Always a pleasure and honour to be part of Dave’s incredible events 🙏🏻.
